The Soul Game is an interactive game that you must participate in to become a winner. It is also an emotional game and the more you develop your sensitivity, the easier it gets to recognize and triumph over the villain. You need to be able to feel when you are being conned into submission or teased into a gilded cage. Your emotions must recognize an abusive villain by the energy he or she emits. The common denominator of all villains is a distinct lack of heart, leaving you shivering with cold rather than enjoying the warmth. Their energy pulls you in quickly so they can take whatever they want from you. It does not flow outward with generosity. Whatever villains do give is tainted with the same in-pulling energy. Once your sensitivity develops more, you will feel that any gifts are only given to set you up for a bigger take while a hero’s gifts are full of outward energy, and the act of giving to you is an end in itself.

An outright villain can be recognized by the harshness of energy and by the following attributes:

Villain disguised as a Victim

A villain disguised as a victim can often be recognized by larger than life emotional sob stories to make doubly sure you take them for a victim, if you believe them at all. And most of the time it is hard not to, as their emotional energy can be overpowering. But remember, villains are all words and if you start checking their actions, there is something always amiss.

A true victim seldom tells you the emotional stories freely since a victim is usually depressed and hopeless and cannot piece together the stories well. Heroes have to encourage and coax to find out what is going on. Villains posing as victims on the other hand are trying to drive their energy into you faster than you can think.

These are the tools of the villain disguised:

A victim’s life is no fun to watch, let alone lead. Victims stumble from one catastrophe to another. The grief and pain never stops. Heroes can be so consumed by their mission that they become too serious. They set out to right the wrong and save humanity, working around the clock and simply find no time for fun.
But who says evil doesn’t pay? Villains certainly are quite happy with their rewards:

clip_image001[21] Smooth Talker

clip_image001[22] Irresistibility

Trying to obtain these benefits without turning into a true villain is a task for all players in the Soul Game.

The Villain’s Costume
Outright villains want to be noticed. They wear sleek dresses and suits, or bare shoulders, and show off net stockings, high heels, and twinkling diamonds. You cannot miss them in a crowd; you are drawn to them by the seductive way they dress.

Note, however, that villains disguised as victims dress and look dowdy to encourage you to take pity on them, but their dress is overdone. Villains disguised as heroes dress very authoritatively so we cannot miss the fact that they are in charge.

TO PONDER

If you recognize yourself as someone who loves to hurt others and is always looking for evidence so you can feel justified in your wrath, remember you can graduate from the villain role. You will make a fabulous street-wise hero, as you know both sides. You can make up for all the evil actions you did as a villain in your role as a hero triumphing over other villains who have not woken up to the essence of the game. So your stint as a villain role will not be lost, but make you an even stronger player in Soul Game.

To detect the villain within yourself, you will need to find the time in your life during which you enjoyed destroying something almost as fast as you build it. Destructive energy is the energy of the villain. Up and down the roller coaster is the only way that a villain feels alive.

Where there any moments in your life that convinced you that life was unfair? It usually is an episode that made you feel hurt and betrayed, and no one was there to save you. At that point your heart connection closed off, and you only feel now in extreme situations. That is why your emotional nature always pulls you into a horrendous drama in which you cannot help but experience emotions eventually, albeit only the anguish and torment of the victim. And while you are in that vulnerable state, you can become rehabilitated, connect with your feelings, move beyond the villain’s role, and preserve whatever you build.
Write down all the ways in which you perceive the world to be unfair. Pretend you are a lawyer presenting your case in court, and really show how life is unfair to you personally and to others. It is this kind of reasoning that villains use to justify all harmful actions, so be thorough.
